Hello! I am so glad you stopped by. You might be curious about the history behind the name Of Shattered Things. The truth is the phrase came to me as I started the process of writing my story – something that is still in progress. But as I began to write, I realized that out of the destroyed and shattered pieces of my life, God has done an amazing thing. He has begun to heal, to restore, and to fashion those pieces into something beautiful. Something that I never expected. Something I never even dared to dream possible. It’s out of this place of gratitude that I decided to share some of my journey to wholeness and the goodness of God’s work in my life with the world.
Life is never what we plan. It takes twists and turns we never intended. Lands us in places that we never anticipated going. And often drops painful experiences and challenges in our laps that we were unprepared for. I have learned that life is unpredictable. It’s messy. It’s broken. But there is One Who remains constant. Someone Who can be trusted to gently hold our fragile hearts in His Hands, tenderly putting us back together. And what determines the course of our lives is not found in the abundance of shattered pieces that we are often left with, but in how we choose to view our brokenness and what we do with those pieces that makes all the difference. So, here’s an invitation to join me on my journey as I do just that. As I share with you what I have learned along the way, my prayer is that you find encouragement, hope, wisdom, and peace in the words written here as you travel your own journey towards wholeness. I’m so glad you are here, friend. Because God still makes beauty of shattered things.
